Solid Dosage Forms
Our Mission
Solid dosage forms are among the most frequently used dosage forms as they have many advantages. With our educational and advanced training courses in the field of solid dosage forms, which range from basic courses to seminars to expert meetings and symposia, we offer our members and participants an excellent opportunity to strengthen their knowledge and skills in this area. Our focus group working at European level cooperates with other APV focus groups as well as with other internationally active scientific societies.
Our Main Topics include
- various dosage forms, such as granules, pellets, mini-tablets, tablets, capsules and coated dosage forms,
- their development, testing and production,
- Innovative dosage forms and techniques including modified-release dosage forms,
- Process Analytical Technologies (PAT) and Quality Management,
- Scale-up, full scale, validation,
Particle design and other quality-relevant aspects of active ingredients and excipients
Our Focus Group Members
Our focus group consists of pharmacists and process engineers who are active in large and medium-sized companies in the pharmaceutical industry, in suppliers of raw materials or at the university.
Our Goal
Through high-quality events and publications, we as a focus group wish to contribute to the success of the APV and to the promotion of science. Selected events at the top should be a guideline and improve the international visibility and recognition of the APV.
